People in glass houses ...
The New York Times internal directive banning the use of the word "tweet" is hilarious on its face, but that it followed on the heels of the Old Grey Lady reporting on General Motors' inflammatory "Chevy" memo, makes it that much richer.

Workers of the world, unite
Yes, it's ironic, but the world's largest allegedly communist country is having labor unrest and the workers are striking.
By seizing the means of production, they are fulfilling Marx and Engels dreams of a self-empowered proletariat. That's what I would call progress.

Reagan Revisited
Peter Beinart's recent article in Foreign Policy about the disconnect between the Ronald Reagan Neocons tout and the Ronald Reagan who actually existed is a great read.

With friends like these ...
I think it's hilarious that as the Libertarian movement comes out of the political shadows as the party of the resentful white man, Rand Paul now finds it convenient to ditch his fellow travelers. Ah, politics ...

Security Clearance
It's becoming more and more obvious that there is a generation that knows decidedly more about cybersecurity, whether in business or government, than the people to whom they report.
If this story is accurate, then it begs many questions: How was this person chosen to receive such clearance? How come no senior analysts or his peers were able to follow or track the data he was downloading?
The private should be held responsible for his actions, but the safeties and systems in place obviously need attention.
