From Salon: "As BP makes its latest attempt to plug its gushing oil well, news photographers are complaining that their efforts to document the slow-motion disaster in the Gulf of Mexico are being thwarted by local and federal officials -- working with BP -- who are blocking access to the sites where the effects of the spill are most visible."
Where are the voices of those lovers of liberty now? Where is the Tea Party? Shouldn't Glenn Beck be crying? You can't shut these people up half the time, but now when the First Amendment rights that they so loudly claim to defend are clearly being violated, well, nada. Not a peep.

I'm a little baffled by the silence from all corners of the political spectrum. The feds are interfering with spill prevention efforts at the state level; journalists are being muzzled, left and right; congressbeings are being restrained from visiting the area...what the heck is going ON in this country??? Scary.
