What makes both Reynolds and Poweline's John Hinderaker's post-Imperial whining more pathetic is that I wonder if they would have felt so strongly about the UK, "our #1 ally," back in the day when the U.S. sat by and watched the former British and French empires collapse over the Suez Canal?
