Jim Inhofe ... Loser.

Is this the best the GOP and the Right can do? This is their intellectual best?

Tempest in a teapot? War Against Christmas Takes Out Garrison Keillor ...

The problem with Garrison Keillor is that he's not funny. That aside, he did put his foot in it with his attempt at faux outrage regarding secular Christmas songs written by non-Christians, specifically Jews.

On the other hand, hearing this faux outrage coming from such an unreconstructed racist as Glenn Reynolds does have a certain irony. And he's a lawyer? Sad.

Christian bloggers and commentators discomfited by "Princess and the Frog" because it seems to take religious spirituality seriously.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

I hate most televangelists, so I'm not exactly keen on a new one, but this story is very interesting considering how diffused Islam is. It's like this guy leapfrogged past any kind of Islamic Reformation right into the profitable on-air church model.

Fear mongering at its best ...

Or as a friend of mine said upon reading this story: "When in danger, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout."

These stories are always mildly couched in a language that implies that the multiplicity of ethnicity in the U.S. would be a bad thing.

Nerd Alert!!!

I've seen this before ...

The United States' policy toward Iran is as back-asswards as how it's treated Cuba for the last 50 years: the sanctions punish the people of both countries and embolden the leadership.
